Competition Mode

The competition mode (open for all) is 5 days of true timing race divided in several stages. You can choose between 2 tracks, each with 5 stages including a XCO stage.

The 9000 race

Open to men and to women since 2016 (above 19 years old), the 9000 Race allows the effort lovers to race on nearly 200 km of tracks. The 9000m of ascending elevation provide a fantastic experience in the earth of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise.

Since 2016, the 9000 Race is UCI XC S2 certified. A new categorie appeared : “Duo categorie”.

The 2 partners must keep 30 seconds between each other during the whole competition.

SUNDAY 22 JULY - VAL CENIS

  • 14h / 18h : Registrations and bibs withdrawal of Competition Mode and Trek Mode (mandatory for 5 days participants [except for national championship participants], open to other participants too)

MONDAY 23 JULY - VAL CENIS

  • 9h / 11h30 : Registrations and bibs withdrawal of Competition Mode and Trek Mode (for 4 days, 3 days, 2 days or 1 day participant only) 
  • 11h : Start of Competition Mode - 9000 race
  • 14h : First competitors arrival 
  • 17h30 : Awards ceremony of the day

*Start will be based on the reverse of the overall time classification for the previous day (Last will start first in Group 4 and first will start last in Group 1). Rider who won't be on the overall time classification will start with the first group (Group 4).

The 6000 race

Open to everyone (above 15 years old), the 6000m of ascending elevation will make you travel across 160 km in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise. A good way for the chrono fighters to discover beautiful landscape and live a unique experience.

UCI

Certified UCI S2, the Transmaurienne Vanoise is the only mountain bike UCI stages race in France. Men and Women Elites will gain precious UCI points at the end of the 9000 race. The UCI ID is required to gain those points.
